The Easiest Way to Reach Goals

How many goals do you have? What are all the things you would like to achieve in your life? This year? This month?
If you’re like most people, you have a few, if not many goals in mind for yourself. And if you’re like a lot of us, you either keep putting them off, possibly believing they are unattainable, or you sporadically chip away at all of them, a little at a time.
How’s that working for you?
If you’re anything like me, probably not that well.
Guess what? I’ve discovered the key to reaching goals quickly and efficiently! Though my own work writing Aches, Pains, and Love, and by learning via my coaching clients’ experiences, I’ve uncovered an approach I wasn’t previously taking advantage of.
Here’s the secret. Work on only one goal at a time. Have only one focus. And make that focus, that goal, what your life is all about.

Live it, breathe it, dream it. Visualize the successful completion of your goal constantly. Don’t worry about your other dreams and goals that aren’t getting done in the meantime. Simply keep your eye on this one prize and go for it. Be persistent. Be dogged. Don’t give up. Keep pursuing, all the time.

Why does this work? It works because it’s much faster to get something done when it is your only focus. When you have three or four goals you are working on at the same time, and you do a little bit of one and a little bit of the others here and there, you are never really able to focus your full energy, inspiration and time on just one. When your focus is divided, it takes much longer to achieve an one goal. And when you’re not reaching your goals or dreams, you become discouraged because you’re not getting anywhere. So you quit them all.

Time to switch it up! Choose one goal and dedicate yourself to it. Achieve it. Pat yourself on the back and then choose the next one.

You’re will reach your goals faster by doing one at a time. You will achieve more, feel more fulfilled and be able to keep the momentum going. Give it a try. Besides, what have you got to lose if you’re not making progress on any of your goals right now?
