Food For Thought

And now for something completely different, one of my favourite parables:
One evening an elderly Cherokee brave told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people.
He said, “My son, the battle is between the two wolves inside us all. One is evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.
The other is good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith.”

The grandson though about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather, “Which wolf wins?”
The old Cherokee simply replied, “The one that you feed.”

I'd live to invite you to take a moment right now and ask yourself the following questions:
Which wolf have you been feeding?
What is one thing you can do today to feed the good wolf?
Going forward, how will you ensure that you are feeding the good wolf more often than the bad one?
Take some time to further contemplate which of your actions, behaviours and habits feed the bad wolf, which feed the good one, and then use that information to help the good wolf grow to be big and strong.
